Unrepentant Artist (UA) has taken a big step to change how the gallery will function. It has been opened up to accommodate people who wish to learn a skills, or hone up some unused skills. Or to have a place where one can work on a project of their own. Table time.
UA, Deb, has honed many skills over a lifetime. Given the “climate” of change in the world she figures that we may really need to have a few important skills to make life simpler, less expensive and for peace of mind.
Deb’s skills cover a variety of metal smithing abilities. Whether it’s a delicate piece of fine jewelry, a wax carving to casting, not to mention very elaborate methods of fabrication, from a bead of metal to the end result.
She also creates intricate Steampunk, Industrial & Funky, Art-Lamps. From corrugated pipes to fine Guitars (that still work).
Her flights of fancy may have her jumping into a project that can take a year to finish. Like a scenic diorama, just finished, set inside an old 7-UP crate and the innards of a computer she gladly beat up.
Most jewelry skills are transferable to other metals, or even leather! You may need to make a hinge for a trunk, hammer metal into a bowl or spoon. Some projects will be held indoors while larger, more difficult forging will be done outside on an old-school forge & anvil.
